More Press...

Oh, I am totally loving all the attention, I am getting...The Build a Better Block event really was an amazing event, and it is fun to see the media agreed. This clip is from Advocate Magazine

And then, there was also, this great one in The New York Times.

And, the best part of all, things are already starting to change in the fair city of Dallas.

According to Advocate magazine, "Bike Friendly Oak Cliff got a $5,000 grant from Bikes Belong. The money will pay for Dallas’s first “car-free streets day”. And Justin Roberts has announced, "a plan to create a trail from Oak Cliff to Mockingbird Lane within 90 days."

It really was a Better Block!

Downtown Dallas Street Gets Makeover: MyFoxDFW.com

I am so proud to have been able to participate in this project. Ross Avenue really was transformed today into an amazing space that made people wanted to hang out (even in the 100 degree temps.). It was complete with food and handmade product vendors, bike paths, games for the kids, and water features (water guns and a dumpster pool-so cool). Here's a little clip that was on the evening news. And if you pay attention, you may catch a glimpse of yours truly. Try not to blink.

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to participate in the awe inspiring project, The 72 Hour Challenge. I can't wait to see how competitors will transform Ross Avenue with a boulevard makeover. I'll be participating in the outdoor market during the unveiling on Sunday, June 26 from 11am-4pm.
