I went shopping today for a new swimsuit. YUCK! I tried on quite a few and decided to forget it for awhile. Spring has just barely sprung anyway.
What I came home with was pure JOY, a new pair of roller skates! I was instantly transported right back to 1980, hearing the Xanadu soundtrack in my head. I was giddy just trying them on. I skated up and down the aisle and all around while my toddler watched in amazement. Yes, I did.
I overheard a little boy talking to his dad about the lady roller skating. He wanted to do it too. Of course, he did.
Everyone deserves the bit of joy that something as simple as roller skates can bring, even a very tired Mommy.
